Jeep Gladiator XMT Would Be First Jeep Used by Military in Nearly 50 Years

For Jeep to make a grand re-entrance into the U.S. Military, it only makes sense to partner with AM General, the company that brought the Humvee to local roads at the Hummer. And that is exactly what has happened. Unveiled at the Jeep Gladiator Extreme Military-Grade Truck, the vehicle is tailored for military use and boasts two 4×4 systems, a towing capacity of more than 7,500 pounds, and a turbo-diesel engine. Whether or not it sees the light of day is up to the U.S. Military, but it sure would be exciting to see the first new Jeep used by the military since 1971.
